Teaching is a large part of my art practice. I have worked as a tutor in the wood carving department at the City and Guilds of London art school since 2021, working with students across the BA and MA course. Since 2022 i have been delivering classes and workshops in the art of illumination and miniature painting. Illumination is the art of applying gold to paper or vellum with the resulting works traditionally bound within Manuscripts. I focus on creating an enjoyable and relaxed space where people can learn a new skill and try something different. Most recently I have delivered workshops for Cambridge University Library, David Parr House, The Royal College of Physicians and Barts North Wing. In 2024 I had the joy of being Maker in residence at Kelmscott Manor, the country home of William Morris, where I created work and delivered workshops on the art of Illumination.
To Learn more about the classes i offer or to enquire about running a course with your museum, institution or Community group please email.
I offer 1-1 classes on illumination and woodcarving. Please do get in touch if this would be of interest and i am happy to discuss your ideas and projects to see how we could work together.
