‘Layers of London ‘ A collaborative exhibition exploring colour and material experimentation. Each artist participating has created new work using a set of handmade pigments. The pigments are made by environmental artist Polly Bennett from materials collected in, or historically associated with London, including mineral, bone, lake pigments as well as synthesised copper.

Madder, blue verditer, green verditer, bone white, bone brown, yellow brick stock, Whipps Cross burnt Sienna and weld pigments. Raised illumination gesso with 23ct gold, red gold and Caplin leaf with shell platinum gold and walnut ink on paper. Craved pearwood frame with shelf and carved pearwood magnifying glass with Madder, bone white, bone brown and Whipps Cross Burnt siena tinting.
